Roshad Collier Obituary, Death – Brandon police have confirmed that a 29-year-old man died following a shooting that took place during a block party. The victim has been identified as Roshad Collier.
The shooting occurred on the evening of June 21, 2025, on Mary Myles Drive. According to Brandon Police Chief Joseph French, after being shot, Collier was taken by private vehicle to Merit Health Rankin for medical treatment. His death was later confirmed by the Rankin County Coroner’s Office on June 23.
In addition to Collier, a second man was also injured in the incident. He remains hospitalized but is reportedly recovering from his injuries.
Police have not yet released details about what led to the shooting or if any suspects have been identified. Chief French noted that the investigation is ongoing, with detectives continuing to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and follow any leads that may help identify those involved.
