Jaymir Deshea Hill Obituary, Death Cause – Authorities in Hamilton County are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Wyoming, Ohio. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), working alongside the Wyoming Police Department, responded to reports of gunfire around 3:49 p.m. near the intersection of Burns and Washington avenues.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a young male with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. The victim was immediately transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for emergency care. Despite efforts to save him, the teen succumbed to his injuries.
On Thursday morning, the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office officially identified the victim as 15-year-old Jaymir Deshea Hill. Authorities confirmed that he was a student in the Northwest Local School District. A spokesperson for the district released a statement expressing sorrow over Hill’s death, confirming that he had been a ninth grader during the previous school year.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of this news,” the spokesperson said, adding that the district is working to gather more information and is focused on providing support to students, staff, and Hill’s family during this difficult time.
Police have described the incident as isolated and said that several suspects fled the scene on foot. At this time, no arrests have been announced. The investigation is ongoing and being led by the HCSO’s Criminal Investigation Section.
