Eric Gardner Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the man who died in a motorcycle accident over the weekend in Geneva. According to the Kane County Coroner’s Office, the victim was 40-year-old Eric Gardner of Sycamore.

The crash happened early Sunday morning on the far west side of Geneva. Gardner was riding his motorcycle westbound on Fabyan Parkway, between Wenmoth and Kaneville roads, shortly after 6:30 a.m., when the accident occurred. Police say his motorcycle crossed into oncoming lanes of traffic and then struck an embankment.

A passing driver noticed the crash and alerted authorities. Emergency responders arrived, but Gardner was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, officials have not confirmed what caused Gardner to lose control of his motorcycle. Investigators are awaiting toxicology reports and further examination to determine the official cause and manner of death.

The incident remains under investigation by local authorities and the coroner’s office. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash.
