Alan Richard Knutson Obituary, Death – A 46-year-old man from Wells, Minnesota, lost his life in a motorcycle crash late Saturday night in rural Faribault County. According to a press release from the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 11:55 p.m. near the intersection of 600th Avenue and 195th Street, northeast of Wells. The man, identified as Alan Richard Knutson, was traveling north on 600th Avenue riding a 2008 Kawasaki ZX1400C sport motorcycle when he failed to make a turn along an eastbound curve in the road.

Authorities reported that he was thrown from the motorcycle as a result of the crash. Knutson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting the crash and dispatched emergency services to the location. Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Wells Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Wells Fire Department, and the Wells Community Ambulance service.
An official investigation into the crash is currently ongoing. The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office is leading the inquiry with support from the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities have not released additional information about the cause of the crash or any contributing factors at this time.
This tragic incident serves as a somber reminder of the importance of motorcycle safety, including helmet use, especially on rural roads where curves and poor visibility can increase the risks for riders.
