Alexandra A. Wilson Obituary, Death News – Authorities in Decatur have identified a woman who died following a reported accidental shooting on Saturday evening.
According to the Decatur Police Department, officers were dispatched around 5:27 p.m. to the 1700 block of North Summit Avenue after receiving a report of a gunshot victim inside a residence.
Police said 25-year-old Christian D. Luthy called 911, reporting that a woman had been accidentally shot inside the home. Emergency personnel transported the 26-year-old woman to Decatur Memorial Hospital, where she later died. The Macon County Coroner’s Office identified her as Alexandra A. Wilson.
Luthy remained at the scene and was taken to police headquarters for questioning. Detectives from the department’s Criminal Investigations Division processed the scene and conducted interviews as part of the ongoing investigation.
Following the investigation, Luthy was arrested on a charge of Involuntary Manslaughter and booked into the Macon County Jail.
