Andrea Sherman Obituary, Death – A fatal three-car accident early Sunday morning in Waterbury left one person dead and several others injured, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. on Baldwin Street. Upon arriving at the scene, Waterbury Police found three vehicles involved in the collision.
One of the vehicles, identified as a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was abandoned before officers arrived. The individuals who fled the scene have not yet been located or identified, and police are continuing their efforts to track them down.
Another vehicle involved was a 2013 Dodge Dart. Its driver, a 47-year-old man from New Haven, survived the crash, but the passenger, 46-year-old Andrea Sherman of Waterbury, tragically died at the scene.
The third vehicle, a 2018 Ford EcoSport, carried a driver and passenger, both 22 years old and residents of Waterbury. They sustained serious injuries in the collision and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
During the crash, the A&W Grocery Store, located near the site, sustained minor damage. Following an inspection, officials determined that the building was structurally safe.
