Arthur Jones Obituary, Death – Authorities are investigating the death of a Kent man who was fatally struck by a car while crossing the street in Brimfield Township.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Friday on State Route 43. Troopers say a driver was traveling southbound when a pedestrian attempted to cross the road. The driver was unable to stop in time and hit the man.
The victim has been identified as 77-year-old Arthur Jones of Kent. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Jones was pronounced dead.
As of now, no charges have been filed. The OSHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
