Arthur Lee Gilmore Obituary, Death – Greensboro police are investigating a fatal shooting after a man was found dead on Monday night, as confirmed in a statement from the Greensboro Police Department.
The incident occurred around 11:48 p.m. when police received a report about a man found lying in an apartment located in the 300 block of West Camel Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, later identified as 65-year-old Arthur Lee Gilmore, who had sustained gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Gilmore was pronounced dead at the scene.
This marks the 11th homicide in Greensboro for 2025. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but no further details have been released regarding potential suspects or motives.
