Barbara Warner Obituary, Death – A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash in Shelby, Ohio, that left a woman dead. Kaleb Fisher, 24, faces felony charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and tampering with evidence, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).
Fisher was identified as the prime suspect after the OSHP received multiple tips from the public, which they described as “instrumental” in solving the case. The fatal incident occurred on Tuesday morning when 61-year-old Barbara Warner was struck by a car while walking on Mickey Road, near Martin Drive North, at approximately 6:30 a.m. The vehicle involved in the crash did not stop, and Warner was later pronounced dead at a Shelby hospital.
Initially, state authorities did not release details about possible suspects or the make of the vehicle involved. However, the tips from the public led investigators to determine that Warner had been hit by a Ford Edge, which was driven by Fisher.
Fisher was arrested and charged following the investigation. The case highlights the important role the community’s assistance played in helping authorities identify the responsible driver.
