Benny Clayton Obituary, Death – The Aiken County Coroner’s Office is currently looking into the accidental death of a man from Warrenville, South Carolina. The incident happened on Tuesday night, when authorities were called around 9:28 p.m. to a home located in the 200 block of Hillvale Street. Upon arrival, they found 56-year-old Benny Clayton beneath a vehicle on a flatbed car hauler trailer. It appeared that Clayton had been working on moving the truck when the tragedy occurred.
Initial findings from the investigation indicate that Clayton was in the process of repositioning or unloading a truck from the trailer when the vehicle unexpectedly shifted. The truck then came down on top of him, trapping him beneath it.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed that Clayton had died from his injuries. He was officially pronounced dead at 10:05 p.m. The cause of death was reported as blunt-force trauma, consistent with the impact from the vehicle.
The coroner’s office stated that no autopsy is planned at this time. However, their investigation into the accident remains ongoing to confirm all details surrounding the event.
