Bobby Andrew Peak Obituary, Death – The Cherokee County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the man who died in a crash involving an Amazon delivery truck on Monday afternoon. According to officials, the incident occurred around 5:10 p.m. on Pacolet Highway. A 2008 Lexus was traveling west when an Amazon delivery truck attempted to make a left turn into a driveway in the 1000 block of the highway. During the turn, the truck collided with the oncoming Lexus.
The passenger in the Lexus, identified as 61-year-old Bobby Andrew Peak of Union, tragically lost his life in the crash. Authorities confirmed that Peak was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
The Cherokee County Coroner’s Office is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Officials have not released further details about whether the driver of the Lexus or the Amazon truck sustained any injuries or if any charges are being considered.
