Brady Gerald Ausland Obituary, Death – The Minnesota State Patrol has reported that a man has died after being hit by a bus early Friday morning in Anoka County.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Ambassador and St. Francis Boulevards at 7:15 a.m. According to State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christianson, the victim was identified as a 20-year-old male.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office indicated that a school bus was likely turning south onto St. Francis Boulevard from eastbound Ambassador Boulevard Northwest when it collided with the bicyclist.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and later named as Brady Gerald Ausland. The sheriff’s office confirmed that there were no students on the bus at the time of the accident. St. Francis Area Schools acknowledged that the bus involved belonged to them.

“We are profoundly saddened by this tragic loss and are fully cooperating with local and state law enforcement in the investigation of the incident,” stated St. Francis Area Schools.

Authorities temporarily closed the road for their investigation, but it was reopened by 10:50 a.m.

A MnDOT traffic camera captured a fire truck near the intersection of Highway 47/St. Francis Boulevard Northwest and Pederson Drive Northwest.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m., a crew from 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS observed two school buses at the scene of the crash.
