Briar M. Strle Obituary, Death – The Huntington County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal crash on U.S. 24 as Briar M. Strle, a 29-year-old man from Huntington. The accident occurred on Friday when Strle rear-ended a semi-trailer that was traveling east in the passing lane of U.S. 24, preparing to turn onto Old Fort Wayne Road.
An autopsy was performed on Sunday at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center in Fort Wayne. The coroner’s office determined that Strle’s cause of death was blunt force traumatic injuries, with the manner of death being ruled accidental.
The incident remains under investigation by the Huntington County Sheriff’s Office Fatal Accident Crash Team (F.A.C.T.) and the Huntington County Coroner’s Office. Both agencies have expressed their condolences to Strle’s family and friends.
