Christopher Siple Jr, Dai’sha Wise Obituay, Death Cause – Two individuals have lost their lives following a collision at the intersection of 4th Street NW and Wertz Avenue NW, as reported by the Canton Police Department. Canton police chief John Gabbard stated that the incident occurred on Saturday, June 7, at around 9:30 p.m.
Authorities indicate that a Volkswagen Golf was heading northbound on Wertz Avenue NW at a “very high rate of speed” when it collided with a Nissan Altima. Officials observed that the Altima was traveling southbound on Wertz Avenue and was in the process of turning east onto 4th Street NW.
The driver of the Volkswagen Golf, identified as Christopher Siple Jr., 41, from Canton, was declared deceased at the scene by the Canton Fire Department.
The driver of the Nissan Altima, identified as Dai’sha Wise, 28, also from Canton, was transported to Aultman Hospital by the Canton Fire Department, where she subsequently succumbed to her injuries.
Currently, the Canton Metro Crash Team is conducting an investigation.
