When officers arrived, they found two victims. One of them, later identified as 30-year-old Brandon Lawrence, was taken to UC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken privately to Christ Hospital and is expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries.
Police closed off multiple streets in the Over-the-Rhine area during the investigation but have since reopened them. Detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and gather information.
