CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Police have released the identity of the man who died in a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this week, the Corpus Christi Police Department says.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Daniel Suarez of Corpus Christi. Officers were called to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire and found Suarez with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting and have not released additional details about a motive or any possible suspects at this time. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Corpus Christi Police Department to assist with the ongoing inquiry.
Officials say there is no indication of a broader public safety threat connected to this incident.
