David Didusch Obituary, Death – A package delivery driver has died after being struck by a truck in Green Township during a delivery. According to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, the victim has been identified as 30-year-old David Didusch of Cincinnati. He succumbed to his injuries on Thursday at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he had been transported following the incident.

The crash occurred on Wednesday at approximately 4:38 p.m. in the 4300 block of Hutchinson Road. Green Township police reported that a Ford F-250 pickup truck, towing an empty trailer bed, was traveling northbound at the time. Meanwhile, an Amazon delivery van was stopped in the southbound lane.

Investigators say Didusch, the driver of the van, had exited his vehicle to deliver a package. While crossing the road, he apparently misjudged the timing and did not allow sufficient clearance for the approaching truck and trailer. As he continued across, the rear portion of the trailer bed struck him.

First responders rushed Didusch to UC Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead the following day.

Authorities revealed that the driver of the Ford F-250 continued driving after the crash but was later located by police. It remains unclear at this stage whether the driver will face criminal charges.

The Green Township Police Department confirmed that the case remains under active investigation. Officials are working to determine whether speed, visibility, or other factors contributed to the collision.

In the wake of the tragedy, investigators have urged members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or have relevant information to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash or who may have dashcam footage that could assist the investigation.

The Green Township Traffic Unit can be contacted at 513-574-0007. Police hope community input will help clarify the events that led to Didusch’s death and whether further action will be taken against the truck driver.

The incident has highlighted the potential dangers faced by delivery drivers, who frequently work in high-traffic environments and often have to navigate busy or narrow roads to complete their routes. Crossing streets while carrying packages can leave them vulnerable to fast-moving or inattentive drivers, making situational awareness critical.

For Didusch’s family, friends, and colleagues, the crash represents an unexpected and devastating loss. While his death is now under formal review, the focus for loved ones is remembering the man behind the delivery uniform—a 30-year-old who was simply doing his job when tragedy struck.

As the investigation continues, Green Township police say their priority is to gather all available evidence, review witness accounts, and determine the exact sequence of events that led to the fatal collision.
