David Rice, Motorcyclist Dies in Brookfield Township Crash .

Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash on Route 82 Sunday evening as 62-year-old David Rice, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. near Addison Avenue. Troopers reported that Rice was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide with 18-year-old Angeleena Medovich when a 2009 Nissan Murano, driven by 87-year-old Elspeth McKeag, attempted a left turn onto Addison Avenue. The motorcycle struck the right side of the Nissan, resulting in Rice’s decease at the scene.

Medovich was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Troopers noted that neither Rice nor Medovich was wearing helmets at the time of the crash. McKeag was also taken to the hospital but was released shortly afterward.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash to better understand the contributing factors and prevent similar incidents in the future.
