Dock Junction Obituary, Death – A 61-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred in Dock Junction, according to the Glynn County Police Department. Authorities say the incident took place on Roadway Street, where the victim was found with a stab wound to the neck.
Police say the victim was able to identify the attacker before being transported to the hospital. He named Shawn Bradwell Smith as the person responsible for the assault. Smith reportedly left the scene before officers arrived, but witnesses and police observed that he had blood on him when he walked away.
Emergency services responded quickly, and the victim was taken to Southeast Georgia Health System for medical care. Officials later confirmed that the victim is in stable condition.
Meanwhile, Smith was located and taken into custody. He was also treated at a hospital for minor injuries to his hands. According to police, those injuries were likely sustained during the stabbing itself.
After receiving medical attention, Smith was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the attack. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are seeking any additional information from the public.
