Dov Broyde Obituary, Death – A 70-year-old man lost his life after being hit by a Smart Car while walking across a Brooklyn street on Monday night, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).

Police say the driver of the vehicle, a 74-year-old man, was operating a 2016 Smart Car when he approached the intersection at East 5th Street. It was at that point that he struck the pedestrian, identified as Dov Broyde.
Broyde had been attempting to cross the street when the collision occurred. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported him to Maimonides Medical Center.
