Authorities responded to reports of gunfire just after 11:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of East Somerset Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds—three in his back and two in his chest. Emergency responders rushed him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m.
