Elwood Robinson, Jr. Obituary, Death – Richmond police have released the identity of the man who was fatally shot on Friday night. The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Elwood Robinson, Jr., a resident of Richmond.
The shooting took place in the 600 block of Mosby Street. Officers were dispatched to the area at approximately 10:47 p.m. following reports of gunfire and a person being shot. Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered Robinson lying on the ground, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported Robinson to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to confirm the exact cause and manner of death.
At this time, Richmond police have not released any information about a possible suspect or motive behind the shooting. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
