Evelin Morales Garcia Obituary, Death – Authorities have publicly identified a woman whose body was discovered in the Mid-City area by Caltrans workers.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim as 33-year-old Evelin Morales Garcia. Details about her city of residence remain unknown.
The discovery was made just before 9 a.m. on Sunday when officers responded to reports of a body near the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway, east of La Brea Avenue. The body was found within the freeway’s Accident Investigation Site, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
At this time, Garcia’s cause of death and how her body ended up in the location remain unclear.
