Francis Gigliotti Obituary, Death – A 43-year-old man died following an encounter with police in Haverhill, Massachusetts, after displaying erratic behavior in public. Family members identified the deceased as Francis Gigliotti. The Essex County District Attorney’s Office reported that Haverhill Police were called to White Street after receiving reports of a man acting irrationally. Witnesses said the man had been running into traffic and even struck a vehicle with his head.

Surveillance footage showed Gigliotti weaving in and out of traffic, barely avoiding oncoming cars. When officers arrived, they encountered him behaving aggressively. Concerned for his well-being, they requested an ambulance to evaluate his condition.

However, before paramedics arrived, Gigliotti fled the scene on foot. He then tried to enter Bradford Seafood, a business on Winter Street. Officers followed and attempted to stop him outside the building.

A struggle took place as police tried to restrain Gigliotti for safety reasons. During the altercation, he suddenly became unresponsive. First responders immediately began lifesaving measures and transported him to a nearby hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.

The case is currently under investigation by the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, Haverhill Police Department, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Authorities have not released further information regarding the cause of death or the nature of the police response.
