Gale Dewayne Johnson Obituary, Death – A fatal two-vehicle collision in northern Jefferson County claimed the life of a 62-year-old man on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the victim was identified as Gale Dewayne Johnson, a resident of Arley, Alabama. The crash occurred at approximately 2:34 p.m. on Snowville Brent Road near Highway 78.
Johnson was driving one of the vehicles involved in the accident. Emergency responders arrived on the scene, but he was pronounced dead at 3:01 p.m.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact circumstances leading up to the crash. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has assigned its Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team to investigate and determine what caused the fatal incident.
