According to a police news release, officers responded to a report of a serious crash at approximately 8:30 a.m. in the area of Gunntown Road. Upon arrival, they discovered that a Kia Sedona had veered off the roadway and collided with a stone wall.
Victim and Driver Information
The passenger in the vehicle, identified as 46-year-old Glen Halama of Naugatuck, sustained severe injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver, a 31-year-old man from Hartford, survived the crash with minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Officials have confirmed that Halama and the driver were not related, but they were acquainted.
