Glenn LaClaire Obituary, Death – A man from Massachusetts has died, and a woman remains hospitalized following a motorcycle crash in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, according to police. Wolfeboro police reported that the crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Route 28 and Trotting Track Road. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a serious collision.
Authorities say the crash involved a Toyota Prius that was entering Route 28 from Trotting Track Road and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling south on Route 28. The two vehicles collided, resulting in severe injuries to both occupants of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle was being operated by 58-year-old Glenn LaClaire of Leverett, Massachusetts. According to police, LaClaire died from his injuries on Sunday. His wife, who was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle, sustained multiple injuries in the crash and remains hospitalized. Police noted that she had been wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The driver of the Toyota Prius, an 89-year-old woman, was not hurt and told first responders she was uninjured. Her identity has not been released by authorities.
As a result of the accident, Route 28 was closed to through traffic for approximately 90 minutes while investigators and emergency crews worked at the scene. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department assisted in redirecting traffic during the closure.
Police indicated that their investigation into the crash is ongoing and that charges are expected.
