Jace Tanner Dunn, Rose Reed Obituary, Death – Two people who lost their lives in a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning north of Clarkston have been identified by law enforcement and their families. The victims were 29-year-old Jace Tanner Dunn and 24-year-old Rose Reed. Both individuals were reportedly ejected from the SUV they were traveling in and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cache County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash around 6 a.m. at a location near 14200 Stink Creek Road, close to the Logan City Landfill. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a severely damaged vehicle and the bodies of Dunn and Reed nearby. Investigators believe that both victims were thrown from the vehicle during the crash, which likely contributed to the severity of their injuries.

According to Sheriff’s Lt. Mikelshan Bartschi, preliminary findings suggest that the accident was caused by a combination of factors. Excessive speed and failure to wear seatbelts were major contributing elements. Additionally, deputies found several open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle, raising the possibility that alcohol may have played a role in the crash. However, toxicology reports and further investigation will be needed to confirm this.

The community has since been mourning the loss of both victims. On social media, friends and family shared heartfelt tributes and memories. Jace Dunn was remembered as someone with a generous heart and a vibrant personality. Loved ones highlighted how he never missed important moments in their lives, showing up for birthdays, sports games, and simply to spend time with the people he cared about.

Rose Reed was described as a radiant young woman and a loving mother. Friends emphasized how her presence could light up a room and how deeply she will be missed by those who knew her. She leaves behind a young daughter, and tributes noted how devoted she was to her child. Reed’s unexpected death has left a deep void in the lives of those closest to her.

Lt. Bartschi extended sympathies to the families of both victims and issued a public reminder to prioritize safety while driving. “Our sincerest condolences go out to the families of those involved in this tragic incident,” he said. “We want to remind everyone in our community to drive safely, wear your seatbelt, and never drink and drive. A moment of poor judgment can have devastating and irreversible consequences.”

The crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities are urging drivers to make responsible choices on the road to prevent further tragedies like this one.
