The Dubuque Police Department has confirmed the identity of a teenager who died following a shooting on Monday night.
Authorities identified the victim as 16-year-old JaKory McMillian, of Dubuque. Initial reports had mistakenly listed him as 15. Police say the shooting occurred just before 10 p.m. in an alleyway between West Locust and Almond Streets near Foye.
