Jasmine Keohi Obituary, Death – A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in San Bernardino County, according to the local sheriff’s department. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies were dispatched to a residence in Hesperia shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday after receiving calls about gunfire. The incident occurred at approximately 12:59 a.m.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered a woman lying on the sidewalk outside the home, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities later identified the victim as 24-year-old Jasmine Keohi, a resident of Hesperia. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement learned that a second individual had also been targeted in the shooting. The second person, whose identity has not yet been publicly released, was shot at during the same incident. However, there has been no confirmation on whether that individual was injured.
The suspect fled the area following the shooting but was located not long after at a nearby apartment complex. Deputies quickly moved in and apprehended the man without further incident.
The suspect has been identified as 41-year-old Jose Antonio Ramirez, also of Hesperia. He was taken into custody and booked into the High Desert Detention Center, where he remains held as of Tuesday.
