Jayde Campbell Obituary, Death – A 22-year-old woman from Springfield, Jayde Campbell, tragically lost her life in a motor vehicle crash on November 14, 2024, marking the 21st fatal crash of the year in the city. The incident occurred at the intersection of Kellett Avenue and Talmage Street at approximately 6 p.m., according to a Springfield Police Department (SPD) press release.

The crash involved two vehicles: a Buick Century, driven by a juvenile, and a pickup truck, driven by 22-year-old Nicholas Brady, with Campbell as his passenger. The juvenile was heading south on Kellett Avenue with 34-year-old Matthew Hill as a passenger when they failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Talmage Street. As a result, the Buick collided with Brady’s truck, causing it to roll over and come to rest on its passenger side.

When SPD officers arrived at the scene, they found Campbell deceased in the truck, while Hill, Brady, and the juvenile driver were injured but their injuries were not life-threatening. All were taken to the hospital for medical attention.
