Jayen Gladden Obituary, Death – Authorities have released the identity of a 15-year-old boy who was fatally shot in Hopkins, South Carolina, on Sunday morning. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department announced that a 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident. Investigators allege that Gladden had been visiting the suspect at the time of the incident.
Authorities believe the 14-year-old suspect was handling a handgun near Gladden and unintentionally discharged it while attempting to clear the weapon. The single bullet struck Gladden, causing the fatal injury.
