Jesus Bravo Obituary, Death – Authorities have released the identity of the individual who lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 99 in Kern County. The Kern County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim as 23-year-old Jesus Bravo, a resident of McFarland.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the accident occurred on the morning of Friday, October 17, 2025, at approximately 9:56 a.m. Officers were called to the scene on northbound Highway 99, just south of Golden State Avenue, after receiving reports of a vehicle crash.
Preliminary findings from CHP indicate that Bravo was driving a gray 2012 Toyota Camry heading north on the highway at an undetermined speed. For reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle began veering toward the northeast, leaving the east side of the roadway.
Investigators said the vehicle first struck a metal guardrail along the east shoulder. The force of that impact caused the car to spin out of control, sending it back across the lanes in a northwesterly direction. The vehicle then collided with the center divider wall, where it eventually came to a stop.
Emergency personnel, including CHP officers, firefighters, and paramedics, arrived on scene shortly after the call. Despite their rapid response, Bravo had sustained severe injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Law enforcement officers immediately began an investigation into the cause of the accident.
