Jesus Castillo Obituary, Death – A tragic accident in Post Falls, Idaho, claimed the life of 56-year-old Jesus Castillo, a Coeur d’Alene resident, after a driver ran a red light and struck his vehicle. The incident occurred Tuesday evening and is under investigation by the Idaho State Police (ISP).
According to a news release from ISP, the collision happened at approximately 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 41 and Prairie Avenue. A 75-year-old man from Cocolalla, Idaho, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Highway 41 when he failed to stop at a red light. His vehicle struck Castillo’s Toyota Prius, which was traveling on Prairie Avenue.
Both drivers were transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet sustained minor injuries, while Castillo succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. ISP confirmed that both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
