The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau has identified the deceased as 41-year-old John Teply and 41-year-old Vickie Hulstrand, both residents of Corona. Officials stated that both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were released after authorities had contacted and notified their next of kin.
While it is believed that Teply and Hulstrand were the motorcycle occupants, the CHP has not yet confirmed that detail. At the time of reporting, it remains unclear if anyone else was injured in the incident.
According to witness accounts provided to CHP, the impact from the crash caused one of the vehicles—either the motorcycle or the Tesla—to veer off the road and descend down an embankment on the right side of the roadway.
