Jonas Ramanavicius Obituary, Death – A 67-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Fort Lowell Road and Columbus Boulevard on the evening of November 21. According to the Tucson Police Department (TPD), the collision occurred around 7:00 p.m., prompting first responders from both TPD and the Tucson Fire Department to arrive at the scene.

The deceased man has been identified as Jonas Ramanavicius, who was driving a green 2014 Subaru Forester. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his family has been notified of his passing.

The other driver involved in the crash was an adult woman behind the wheel of a red 1999 Honda CR-V. She sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Traffic Unit Detectives were called to the scene to investigate the incident. Their findings revealed that the Honda CR-V had been traveling westbound on Fort Lowell Road and was attempting to make a left turn onto southbound Columbus Boulevard when the collision occurred. Ramanavicius, driving eastbound on Fort Lowell Road, collided with the CR-V during the turn.

An officer from the Impaired Driver Enforcement Unit evaluated the driver of the Honda CR-V at the hospital. The officer determined that the driver was not impaired at the time of the crash.

Based on the investigation, it was determined that the primary contributing factor to the crash was the failure of the CR-V driver to yield while making the left turn. At this stage, no charges or citations have been issued, and the investigation is ongoing.
