Joseph Buckles Obituary, Death –  tragic accident occurred early Tuesday morning in Athens, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. The incident happened around 7 a.m. near the intersection of W. Broad Street and Old Epps Bridge Road, as reported by the Athens-Clarke County Police.

When officers arrived at the scene, emergency medical services were already attempting life-saving measures. Unfortunately, the pedestrian, identified as 63-year-old Joseph Buckles of Athens, was pronounced dead at the scene despite their efforts.

The driver involved in the accident was a 21-year-old from Lawrenceville, who remained uninjured. Police have not released further details about the driver or the specific circumstances leading to the crash.
