Joshua Crowley Obituary, Death – A tragic accident in Auburn, Maine, claimed the life of a 48-year-old man on Thursday morning. According to police, the fatal crash occurred around 6:50 a.m. near 158 Mt. Auburn Avenue, when a pickup truck left the roadway and collided with a cement retaining wall.
The driver, identified as Joshua Crowley of Sabattus, was behind the wheel of a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado at the time of the crash. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing the truck veer off the road before slamming into the cement barrier. Crowley was trapped inside the vehicle following the impact.
Emergency responders from the Auburn Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene and worked to extricate Crowley from the wrecked truck. Once removed from the vehicle, he was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save him, Crowley was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to leave the road, and the Auburn Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
