Authorities have identified the driver suspected of being involved in a crash that resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy in Parlier earlier this week.
According to jail records, 35-year-old Tiffany Mercado was arrested and booked on several charges, including vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence. The arrest was confirmed by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, though officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
Police reported that the incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Mendocino and Parlier avenues. Video obtained by Action News from a nearby business, Francy’s Bridal Flower Shop, appears to show a blue car traveling at a high rate of speed before crashing into the storefront located north of the original crash site.
