Kayden Coombs Obituary, Death News – Falmouth High School is offering counseling and support to students following a tragic crash that claimed the life of 18-year-old Kayden Coombs and left two others with severe injuries.

The fatal accident occurred on Route 28 in Falmouth on Friday. When state troopers and firefighters arrived at the scene, they discovered the car had veered off the road and down an embankment, sustaining what authorities described as “catastrophic damage.”

Coombs was found underneath the wrecked vehicle. Firefighters extricated him and rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

On Sunday, Falmouth High School confirmed that one of the crash victims was a student. To support grieving classmates, the school arranged for counselors and clinicians to be available in the library on Monday. Principal Alan Harris acknowledged the emotional toll on the school community, stating, “Grief and anxieties show up in unexpected ways for all of us. Our strength lies in our trust and support of one another. We are in this together.”

Two other individuals involved in the crash were discovered outside the vehicle, suffering from life-threatening injuries. One victim was airlifted to a trauma center, while the other was transported to a hospital in the Boston area. Their conditions have not been updated.

The crash is currently under investigation by multiple agencies, including the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, and the State Police Crime Scene Section. Local authorities, along with the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office, are also involved in determining the cause of the accident.

District Attorney Robert J. Galibois has been in contact with the families of those affected, emphasizing that the investigation remains ongoing. Officials have not released further details about the circumstances leading to the crash.

The loss of Coombs has deeply impacted the Falmouth community, with friends, classmates, and school staff mourning the sudden tragedy. The school continues to encourage students to seek support as they navigate this difficult time.
