Kristain Pritchett, Austin Terry Obituary, Death – Two adults were killed in a tragic car crash that occurred early Saturday morning in Mexico, Missouri. The incident happened around 6:39 a.m., prompting a response from the Mexico Public Safety Department (MPSD) to the 4800 block of South Clark Street, near Highway 54.

According to an official press release, a blue 2016 Kia traveling southbound on Clark Street veered across the center line and collided head-on with a black 2012 Chrysler traveling northbound. The force of the crash caused significant damage to both vehicles and left multiple occupants trapped inside.

Emergency crews from MPSD arrived at the scene and assisted the Audrain Ambulance District in removing the individuals from the wreckage. They used extrication tools to free the victims and provided emergency medical care.

Two individuals—22-year-old Joshua Frye and 29-year-old Elliot Kitson—were injured in the crash and transported by ambulance to MU Hospital for further treatment. Their current conditions have not yet been disclosed.

Tragically, two other individuals did not survive the crash. Authorities confirmed that 22-year-old Kristain Pritchett and 27-year-old Austin Terry died from their injuries. Their families have since been notified.

The Mexico Public Safety Department has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. At this time, it is not yet known what caused the Kia to cross into the opposite lane. Investigators will likely examine factors such as driver behavior, speed, road conditions, and the possibility of impairment or distraction.
