Kristian Gutierrez Obituary, Death – A man was discovered fatally shot early Monday morning near the AB Brown Sports Complex, situated on the border of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, according to the Colton Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of Placentia Lane around 5 a.m. after receiving reports of a person being shot in the area. Upon arrival, they found a man who had suffered gunshot wounds. The victim was later identified as 41-year-old Kristian Gutierrez of San Bernardino.
Authorities did not immediately disclose details about the nature of Gutierrez’s injuries, including how many times he was shot or where the wounds were located on his body.
Emergency personnel from the Colton Fire Department responded to the scene and attempted life-saving efforts. Despite their actions, Gutierrez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released any information about a suspect or whether a person of interest has been identified. The Colton Police Department’s Detective Division has taken over the investigation, and efforts to gather further evidence are ongoing.
