Lashon Bailey Obituary, Death – A 55-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Lancaster has been identified by authorities. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office confirmed that the victim was Lashon Bailey.
The fatal crash occurred around 7:40 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Avenue J and Dale Avenue, as reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Preliminary investigations suggest that a white Honda was traveling westbound on Avenue J when it struck Bailey, who was walking south across Avenue J in an unmarked crosswalk.
At this stage, authorities are unsure whether the driver or the pedestrian had the right of way. Additionally, it remains unclear whether factors such as alcohol, drugs, or speed contributed to the incident.
The sheriff’s department is urging anyone with information about the crash to contact traffic investigators at the Lancaster sheriff’s station at 661-948-8466. The investigation is ongoing.
