Leonidas Davis Obituary, Death – A fatal motorcycle crash in Moraine on Wednesday night claimed the life of 55-year-old Leonidas Davis, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, which confirmed his identity Thursday morning.
The crash took place around 8:10 p.m. near the intersection of Hemple Road and Germantown Pike, a location in Moraine that saw emergency responders rushing to the scene. Upon arrival, police discovered that a three-wheeled motorcycle had been involved in a collision with a sedan.
Davis, who was riding the motorcycle, was thrown from the vehicle due to the impact. Witnesses nearby quickly rushed to help and administered first aid in an attempt to save him. However, despite their efforts, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moraine Police Sergeant Andrew Parish spoke with News Center 7, confirming that bystanders were actively trying to assist Davis after the crash. Tragically, those life-saving measures were unsuccessful.
Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No additional details have been released about the driver or the extent of their injuries.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine what led to the collision. The cause remains unknown as officials work to piece together what happened in the moments leading up to the deadly crash.
