Ling Ling Jiang Death News – A fatal crash on Route 222 in Lancaster County on Sunday night claimed the life of a 32-year-old woman. The victim, identified as Ling Ling Jiang from New York City, was a passenger in a 2019 Jeep Wrangler that flipped over onto its roof. The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Route 222, near Pleasant Valley Road, in West Earl Township.
According to police reports, five individuals were in the Jeep when it lost control, causing it to flip. First responders arrived at the scene and discovered Jiang off the roadway. Despite efforts to rescue her, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office stated that Jiang had been extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel.
Three other people in the Jeep suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment. Local police mentioned that icy road conditions were a contributing factor to the crash. These hazardous conditions likely made the roadway slippery and difficult to navigate.
The incident led to the closure of Route 222 for several hours while emergency crews worked at the scene. The highway was reopened by 4 a.m. the following morning. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
