Lisa Geter Obituary, Death – A 59-year-old woman who died in a house fire on the evening of July 24 in West Akron has been identified as Lisa Geter, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Akron Fire Department was called to the scene of the fire at 5:14 p.m. on Grace Avenue. When firefighters arrived, they found Geter in the basement of the single-story residence. She was unresponsive at the time of the discovery.
Emergency responders transported Geter to Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where she was pronounced dead at 5:57 p.m.
Two additional individuals who were inside the home during the fire were not injured, though they were displaced by the incident.
The fire is currently under investigation, and no further details have been released regarding the possible cause or circumstances surrounding the blaze.
