Lisa Schwytzer Obituary, Death – A fatal house fire that occurred in Troy earlier this month has claimed the life of a 59-year-old woman, now identified as Lisa Schwytzer.

The fire broke out on February 5 at a residence on Westbrook Lane. At approximately 8:30 a.m., emergency crews responded after receiving a 911 call reporting visible flames in the home’s living room.

Upon arrival, firefighters worked to contain the blaze and discovered a woman suffering from severe injuries. She was immediately transported via CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed Schwytzer’s identity following her passing.

In addition to the tragic loss of life, a cat inside the home also perished in the fire.

Investigation Into the Fire’s Cause

Fire investigators have not yet determined an official cause for the blaze. However, authorities noted the presence of smoking materials and oxygen equipment in the home, which may have played a role in the fire’s ignition and spread.
