The impact of the crash forced the Camaro into the intersection, where it struck a 2024 Jeep Wrangler that was traveling northbound on Eastwood Road.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Hyundai Elantra, identified as 50-year-old Mark O’Roark of Mount Orab, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
In addition to the fatality, a passenger in the Hyundai Elantra sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the Camaro also suffered significant injuries and was taken to the hospital as well.
Officials have not released the names of the injured victims as of yet. The driver of the Jeep Wrangler was reportedly unharmed in the crash.
