The victims were identified as 19-year-old Marvin St. Louis and 35-year-old Jamel Childs, both Brooklyn residents, and 27-year-old Amadou Diallo of Manhattan. According to investigators, St. Louis and Childs suffered multiple gunshot wounds to their bodies. They were quickly rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, but despite medical efforts, both were pronounced dead upon arrival. Diallo, meanwhile, sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency medical services confirmed his death at the scene.
In addition to the three fatalities, police reported that ten other people were injured during the gunfire. While their injuries were not considered life-threatening, the victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Authorities noted that all ten are expected to recover, though the incident has left a deep sense of shock and fear within the community.
The New York Police Department has been piecing together details of what they described as a gang-related conflict that escalated into violence inside the lounge. Investigators said they recovered 42 shell casings at the scene, suggesting the involvement of multiple shooters. Police believe up to four different firearms were used in the attack. A handgun was later discovered in the vicinity of Bedford Avenue and Eastern Parkway, not far from where the shooting occurred.
Despite the significant amount of evidence collected, no arrests have been made. Detectives are now working to determine who opened fire and what triggered the confrontation inside the establishment.
