Michael Agee, Rayquan Dixon Shooting – Early Saturday morning, a shooting in Ford Heights resulted in the deaths of two men and injuries to a third, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 3 a.m. following a report of gunfire in the 1400 block of Regent Lane. When deputies arrived, they discovered three male victims with gunshot wounds.
Two of the victims, later identified as 32-year-old Michael Agee of Lynwood and 31-year-old Rayquan Dixon of Hammond, were found on the ground — one lying in the street and the other in a nearby yard. Both had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
A third man, 29 years old, was also located at the scene. He was standing in the street and had suffered a gunshot wound to the hip. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Emergency responders transported Agee and Dixon to Franciscan St. Margaret Health in Dyer, Indiana. Despite efforts to save them, both men were pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into the shooting. At this time, no arrests have been reported, and officials have not released information about a possible motive or suspect.
